Cerebral Palsy helps children in Russia - study
A chiropractic study was carried out by Dr. Matthew McCoy, Dr. Ekaterina Malokhova, and Dr. Yuri Safronov at the Regional Centre for Chiropractic Spine in Vladivostok, Russia. They monitored four children before and after receiving chiropractic adjustments for one month.
The children received 12 adjustments over a four week period. The doctors of chiropractic noted a decrease in vertebral subluxation over the time of the study.
Other changes were also noted that positively affected the children and parent’s quality of life. Each child with cerebral palsy experienced an improvement in muscle tone along the spine, better movement and posture control.
Positive changes were seen by the parents in daily activities such as eating and walking. Two of the participants in the study displayed improved coordination and gait. Family members observed better emotional states, communication, appetite and sleeping. Increased muscle control and benefits to the children’s immune system were also observed by the doctors and the parents.
